Don Quixote at Lunch

Eating lunch today at Cafe Bar I noticed a copy of Don Quixote next to the girl across the table.

Emily turned out to be an MFA in Writing at Columbia and we had a great conversation about school (Creative Writing was one of my majors at Penn), Don Quixote, and New York.

More places need the cafeteria style seating that facilitates this kind of conversation.  Listen up, lunch joints: ditch the starbucks mini tables and get some picnic benches!

If you haven’t read Don Quixote, you should because it’s hilarious.  I recommend Edith Grossman’s translation.
