Thoughts Inspired by Graham Hill
I met the founder of TreeHugger.com, Graham Hill, last week and have been thinking a lot about green business lately. One of the things that he said that really resonated with me is that people like the idea of going green, but will only do it if (1) it is just as accessible (eg on the supermarket shelf next to the alternative) as the competition, (2) it saves them money, (3) it improves their quality of life.
Likewise, on the Treehugger about page:
TreeHugger also sympathizes with the fact that most people aren’t willing to compromise their current lifestyle in order to improve our shared environment, so we have created a place where you can discover how to maintain or improve your quality of life while reducing your harmful impact on the earth.
Laziness of the masses will certainly be a principle that helps define any green business idea I decide to work on.
