I just downloaded the latest version of UberTwitter and was astonished at how great it is compared to TwitterBerry whose only redeeming quality was being first. The open beta is free (unlike TwitterGenius which is $5), but it is jam packed with ez-wizard configurable features you’d expect in a serious mobile Twitter Client - GTalk status integration, ReTweet support, favoriting, search, trending, geolocation, network and notification management, etc. Thankfully, even with it all the features, UberTwitter doesn’t lose sight of the consumption experience, so legibility and UX are the centerpiece here. So, do yourself a favor, delete TwitterBerry now and save that $5 for a footlong at Subway instead.
Bonus: Here are the keyboard shortcuts:
U - update
R - Reply
T - Top
B - Bottom
Space - Pg Dn
Shift-Space - Pg Up
F - Follow
P - refresh
L - ReTweet
kortina’s bit: This kills TwitterBerry. As noted, reading the stream is infinitely better as the messages are not truncated (why does tberry do that?!). Also note, UberTwitter takes pics, which I never figured out how to do with TwitterBerry. Thanks for the tip, gbat!
